Nova Scotia Nature Trust 5th Annual Silent Auction & Dinner
October 19th, 2002. Casino Hotel (formerly Halifax Sheraton) in Halifax.

The Nova Scotia Nature Trust is honoured to have the keynote address at our 5th Annual Silent Auction and Dinner delivered by Canadian anthropologist and botanical explorer Wade Davis, Explorer-in-Residence for the National Geographic Society. Wade Davis received his Ph.D. in ethnobotany from Harvard University and subsequently through the Harvard Botanical Museum, he spent more than three years in the Amazon and Andes as a plant explorer, living among 15 indigenous groups in eight Latin American nations while making some 6,000 botanical collections. Audiences consistently remark that they sat breathless and spellbound during his presentation.

Our Silent Auction and Dinner featuring Mr. Davis will take place on Saturday, October 19th at the Casino Hotel (formerly Halifax Sheraton) in Halifax. In addition to our keynote address, Mary Jane Lamond will be performing. Attendees will be able to participate in our popular silent auction featuring unique adventure get-aways and eco-minded items, and will learn about how the Nature Trust is protecting irreplaceable natural areas here in Nova Scotia.

Tickets are $75 with tables of 10 for $750. Reserve yours today by phoning Karen @ 902-425-5263 or email: karen@nsnt.ca

(The Nova Scotia Nature Trust is a province-wide land conservancy, dedicated to preserving ecolgocally significant natural areas on private lands. For more info: www.nsnt.ca )
