What is the Fundy Forum?

The short answer to this question is that the Fundy Forum is a web site and email discussion listserver, that belongs to everyone. But we'd also like you to know about our underlying philosophies...

The Fundy Forum supports efforts that enhance the health of the Bay. It supports working together to solve problems creatively and collaboratively. On the other hand, the Fundy Forum also has many skills, abilities, lessons learned and connections to share with you. The Fundy Forum itself offers a means to unite interested groups and individuals to work collaboratively for the health of the Bay of Fundy. It is an opportunity to build upon and share what is already in place, while encouraging new participants to join in.

The Fundy Forum is a web site and Discussion Listserver created to support and encourage dialogue, information sharing, partnering opportunities and activities from all walks of life that benefit the health of the Bay of Fundy and its coastal communities. The Fundy Forum gives voice to issues and concerns, lessons learned and successes, opportunities and challenges.

The Fundy Forum provides you with a valuable communications service, and an excellent opportunity to network. We invite you to participate in Fundy related discussions on the Discussion Listserver, especially our Timed Discussions. As well, you can contact the Webmaster and request that your information be posted right here on the web site for everyone to see.

Over the years, the need for a communications tool such as the Fundy Forum has been spoken of repeatedly. This type of communications service has been requested by many individuals and organizations. We are excited to be helping you build it, and make it work for everyone.

The Fundy Forum is directed by its Advisory Team, which consists of 11 individuals interested in the Bay of Fundy area. We meet three times per year and discuss the direction of the Fundy Forum, Timed Discussions, future opportunities and more.

Having individuals connected and aware of each others activities allows for more informed decision making, less duplication of efforts, opportunities for collaboration, enhanced resource bases, and more.
